The former master of the chapel of the metropolitan temple, Father Jorge Azócar Yávar, I had no exact news about this instrument, the existence of which There is testimony in the cathedral books during the second half of the 19th century.

Dr. Luis González identifies him with the one he delivered Sylvester Hesse in 1842, although, of course, it is possible that his registration original has been modified, probably by Oreste Carlini.

Luis Gonzáles also assures that Hesse was the importer of that organ, and not the builder.

The nomenclature of the registers does not take us back 140 years.

The furniture, however, may be from that time.

Disused for long decades, It was restored and moved to the Sagrario church by Dr. Luis González and his brothers, in 1985-1986.

It is currently in very good operation.
