It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and interesting churches in Santiago, and its declaration as a national monument, carried out at the beginning of 1992, is fully justified.

Its organ was inaugurated on April 20, 1935 and the homily given at the ceremony of its blessing pronounced by the parish priest Don Alberto Cortínez, it is preserved in print in No. 17, 1935, page 5, from the magazine The Parish of San Lázaro.

It was built by Oreste Carlini and its cost, in 1934, already rose to 80 thousand pesos.

It is quite well preserved and it can be said that its sound material is in perfect condition. conditions.

The problems that have silenced it after the 1985 earthquake are minor. They mainly affect their pneumatic transmissions.
