With its 33 registers and 3 manual keyboards, this instrument is one of the largest
of Santiago and the country.

A lengthy restoration process, begun by John Moir and
Dr. Luis González and his brothers finished,
culminated in 1989, when April 20 was
solemnly reopened.
In its pre-restoration appearance, the instrument appeared to be German,
as was its pneumatic console, probably installed by Carlini.
However, John Moir verified the mixed origin of the organ, in which there was like a
initial nucleus a small Cavaillé-Coll,
of which several registers were preserved, such as a Principal 8 (Montre),
a Principal 4 (Prestant), a Harmonic Flute, a Gamba Viola, a Doublette and others.
In the opinion of Dr. Luis González, the original Cavaillé-Coll games that have been
preserved would be 8.
