Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Lo Vasquez

Church of Our Lady of Lo Vásquez.
Instrument with two keyboards, mechanical action.

This instrument is in the Huybens catalog #621.

Mr. Rodrigo Brito tells us

Cavaillé-Coll Organ of the Lo Vásquez Sanctuary.

Donated by the benefactor of the Buenos Aires church, Mrs. Juana Ross de Edwards. He ordered the organ to be brought from France from the famous French organ builder's house.

It was originally installed in the Parish of the Holy Spirit of Valparaíso and operated for several years. There are records that the 1906 earthquake left it in poor condition and it was unsound.

But it continued later.

It was transferred to the Valparaíso cathedral once it was inaugurated and served until 1994 where it was transferred to Lo Vásquez to serve as an accompanying instrument in the Singing training of the seminarians.

Classes taught by Professor Mauricio Pergelier.
According to inventory of June 1, 1907.

Rodrigo Brito Osorio Organist of the Cathedral of Valparaíso.
