This organ was installed in the residence of Professor Miguel Castillo until mid-2023. year in which its owner decided to donate it to Matías Schwartz, musician, pianist, organ student and educator, “with the charge that you touch it, hold it, and share it with others as soon as possible.”

Its cost constituted the remuneration granted by the widow of the Greek writer Nikos Kazantzakis, for the translation of the poem Odyssey by this author, a difficult and extensive work of 33,333 verses.

The assembly was carried out by the same professor Miguel Castillo Didier, during the year 1971 at his residence. Subsequently, the transfer to the Santiago College in 2023 was carried out by the organ builder Don Ramón Sernuda, Matías Schwartz and Don Fermín Zúñiga.

The decision was made to install it on the second floor of the chapel of the Fundación Educacional Santiago College in Lo Barnechea. for being an ecumenical Chapel and for the care it would receive in addition to the opportunity of access to new generations who might be interested in its study, dissemination and future maintenance.

It has received maintenance from its owner and had a service by its builder in 1991. It is currently under the care and maintenance of Matías Schwartz and the organ builder Don Ramón Sernuda.
