The Organist Juan Luis Edwards Velasco studied Piano and Theory at the Modern School of Music between the years 1973‑1978, where he also studied with Elena Weiss, Gustavo Ruiz and María Pfenings.

Between 1979‑1981 he carried out Organ studies with Mr. Luis González Catalán, and performed during that time as organist at El Sagrado Corazón Parish, El Bosque.

He worked as organist for the Grupo Cámara Chile of maestro Mario Baeza, with tours throughout the country and the Argentine Republic.

Between 1983‑1989 he continued his Piano studies with maestro Gustavo Ruiz, to which he added studies of Lyrical Singing with teacher Regina Midleton.

During 1985 he studied Music History with teacher Samuel Claro and Harmony with teacher María Pfenniings

Between 1986‑1987 he studied Counterpoint with maestro Alejandro Guarello.

The following year he studied Higher Harmony with A.Guarello, and History of Music with teacher Juana Corvella.

Between 1988‑1989 he continued his studies in Lyrical Singing with teacher Ana Rubilar.

Between 1991‑1992 he worked as an accompanist pianist for the singing school of the Jesús de Monasterio Conservatory, Santander, Spain.

Between 1995‑1998 he studied Lyrical Singing with maestro Patricio Méndez and between 1998‑1999 he worked He worked as an accompanying pianist for the opera at the Municipal Theater of Santiago and continued his studies in Lyrical Singing with maestro Guido Bajas.

In 1999 he participated in the musical weeks of Sucre and Potosí. in Bolivia.

Between 1999‑2001 he continued his studies of Lyrical Singing with maestro Cristián Carrasco, and between 2000 and 2003 he was Organist of the Benedictine Monastery of Las Condes

Since 2001, he has served as Organist of the Santa Teresa de Jesus Chapel of La Compañáía, VI Region, continuing his studies of Lyrical Singing with maestro Gonzalo Tomkoviak

In 2002 he carried out the preparation and general direction of Bizet's opera Carmen, performed at the piano, in the Municipality of Lo Prado, and participated, hired by the Municipal Theater of Santiago, in tours throughout Chile, performing o ;pears on the piano.

Between 2002 and 2003 he studied Lyrical Singing with maestro José Barrier.

Between 2002 and 2003 he worked as an accompanying pianist at the opera school of the Catholic University of Chile, and participated in the Zarzuela Company, with tours throughout Chile.

In 2004 he studied Orchestration and Conducting with teacher Peter Bellino and Pedagogy in Vocal Technique with Winter, at Mannes Collage of Music in New York, and Lyric Singing classes with teacher Sandra López.

He has given recitals throughout Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, and Spain, participating as a piano soloist, as a participant in Chamber Music ensembles, and as an accompanist in singing recitals, in halls. such as the Municipal Theater of Santiago, Punta Arenas, Cervantes Theater of Buenos Aires, San Juan Auditorium, Festival Palace in Santander, Spain, etc.
