To date little is known about the professional training of French organ builder Auguste Commaille.
It was disciple of Georges WENNER.
Commaille was established in Bordeaux in 1875 at n°134 Route d'Espagne, (currently Cours de l'Yser).
He obtained a silver medal at the exhibition of the philomatical society of Bordeaux in 1882,
and a gold medal in 1895.
